Seagate Momentus XT for Apple MacBook

The inexpensive alternative to SSD drives in a MacBook Pro.

Up to three times faster than a traditional SATA hdd the Seagate Momentus XT combines a traditional hard drive with SSD technology - hence it's called a Hybrid. Far cheaper than the 256GB and 512GB SSD options available on the MacBook Pro's, this is a true alternative from Seagate.

On our own recent test we pitched a 13" MacBook Pro 2.4GHz with a Hybrid drive against a 13" 2.8GHz MacBook Pro with the standard 750GB Apple drive... from switch on to boot up the Hybrid in the slower Mac won hands down. Just 15 seconds for the Seagate Hybrid and 28 seconds for the standard Apple drive... That's about 50% faster for a small additional increase in the monthly lease price.

Don't be concerned that this third party upgrade will affect you warranty as all Macs leased from HardSoft include as standard a three year 'collect and return' warranty and for a small extra cost we can provide a Loan Mac should you need constant uptime.
